Tax slip FAQs
How do I find older or historical tax slips?
How do I find older or historical tax slips?
When viewing E-documents, some documents may be hidden by default.
If you don’t see older tax slips:
- Expand the filter options
- Update the date range: Last 30 days, Year to Date, or a customized date range are the options
Adjusting your filters lets you view documents from prior years when available online.
What’s the difference between statements, trade confirmations, and tax slips?
What’s the difference between statements, trade confirmations, and tax slips?
Statements, trade confirmations, and tax slips are different document types and are issued at different times:
- Statements summarize your account activity and holdings over a specific period
- Trade confirmations confirm individual transactions, such as purchases or sales
- Tax slips report income or transactions that may need to be included when filing your taxes
Because they serve different purposes, these documents may appear separately in E-documents and may not be available at the same time.
Which tax slips don’t appear online?

Some tax slips may not be available online because they’re issued directly by a fund company that manages the investment.
Will I receive tax slips for closed accounts?

Yes. Tax slips may still be issued for accounts that were closed during the tax year if there was reportable activity before the account was closed. Depending on the type of slip, it may be available online or delivered by mail.
Why don’t I see tax slips for all my household accounts or for my spouse?
Why don’t I see tax slips for all my household accounts or for my spouse?
Tax slips are issued at the account level, not at the household level.
If your spouse or another family member has their own account:
- Their tax slips will appear under their own login credentials, or
- They may receive their slips separately by mail.
Make sure you’re logged into the correct account when searching for documents.
What if my tax slip is available through another portal?
What if my tax slip is available through another portal?
Some tax slips may be available through:
